Matt Muller, Owner

Licensed Well Driller & Pump Installer — NGWA Member

Matt Muller has spent his career in the water well industry in North Texas. As the owner of DFW Well Service, he holds a combined Well Driller and Pump Installer license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR License No. 61234 DKMPW) and is a licensed operator under the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (DPC-1042, Operator No. OP-2530).

Muller is a member of the National Ground Water Association (NGWA), the leading professional organization for the water well industry in the United States. NGWA membership requires adherence to a professional code of conduct and provides access to technical training, updated industry standards, and peer expertise — a commitment that reflects how DFW Well Service approaches every job.

Under Muller's ownership, DFW Well Service has grown from a local drilling operation into a full-service provider handling everything from new well construction to pump repair, water testing, and the pre-purchase inspections increasingly required in North Texas real estate transactions. The company offers financing through EnerBank™ for customers who need a new well or major system replacement.

A North Texas Company Built on One Promise

Water is not a convenience for most of the customers we serve. For the families, ranchers, and property owners spread across Cooke County and the surrounding region, the well is the water supply. When it fails — on a Friday evening, in August heat, the week of a property closing — the problem is immediate and the stakes are real.

DFW Well Service was built around a simple promise: show up, tell the truth, and do the work right. For over 20 years, that commitment has been the whole business model. We don't keep customers waiting without water, we don't give vague answers over the phone, and we don't leave a job site before the system is working and the customer understands what was done and why.

Our base in Gainesville puts us within practical range of all 19 counties we serve — from the Metroplex suburbs to the rural reaches of Cooke, Wise, Palo Pinto, Erath, and Somervell counties where landowners often have no city water option at all. We understand this terrain. We know the aquifer formations that underlie different parts of North Texas, how drought cycles stress wells in different soil types, and what it takes to drill into the Woodbine and Trinity sands reliably. That local knowledge, accumulated over two decades, is something you can't replicate from a regional dispatch center.

Four Things We Believe About Doing This Work Right

Timeliness

Water well emergencies don't follow business hours, and service calls don't get rescheduled for convenience. When we commit to a time, we show up at that time.

Accessibility

Call (940) 536-8560 and someone answers. That's not a small thing in a service industry where voicemail is standard practice.

Communication

Water systems involve geology, hydraulics, pump mechanics, and state regulations. You should understand your own water supply. We explain what we found, what we recommend, and what alternatives exist — before any work begins.

Quality

Every well we drill is permitted, logged, and reported to the state as required by law. Every pump installation and repair is performed to TDLR standards. We don't cut corners on work that affects your family's drinking water.

What We Do

DFW Well Service provides the complete range of water well services — from drilling a new well on undeveloped land to diagnosing a pressure problem in an existing system.

Water Well Drilling
New residential, agricultural, and commercial wells drilled to aquifer depth, 4" to 20" diameter. Every new well is permitted through the applicable Groundwater Conservation District and logged with the Texas Water Development Board.
Well Pump Repair & Replacement
Diagnosis and repair of submersible and jet pump systems. When a pump has reached end of life, we size and install the correct replacement for your well depth, casing diameter, and demand requirements.
Pressure Tank Installation
Bladder tank sizing, installation, and replacement. Correct tank sizing prevents short-cycling, extends pump life, and maintains consistent pressure throughout your home or facility.
Well Rehabilitation
Restoring yield and water quality in aging wells without the cost of a full redrill. Methods include mechanical cleaning, chemical treatment, and pump column replacement depending on the diagnosis.
Water Testing
Baseline and problem-specific water quality testing — essential for new wells, property transactions, and any time water changes in taste, odor, or color.
Well Inspection
Pre-purchase inspections for residential and commercial real estate transactions in North Texas. Includes the physical inspection and documentation required under TREC Form 61-0, the Texas real estate well disclosure form that became mandatory in May 2026.
Well Repair
Casing repair, grouting, screen replacement, and structural repairs to address contamination risks, mechanical failures, and code compliance issues.

Where We Work

DFW Well Service offers residential water well services throughout all 19 North Texas counties — the region defined by the Texas Comptroller's North Texas classification. Our Gainesville location (Cooke County) provides easy access to the full region, from the outer suburbs of Dallas and Fort Worth to the rural counties to the north and west.

If you or your client need a commercial, industrial, or municipal water well anywhere in Texas, we'd be happy to be at your service.

We also serve customers in Southern Oklahoma under Oklahoma Water Resources Board License DPC-1042.

Licensed, Insured, and Accountable

In Texas, water well drilling and pump installation are licensed, regulated trades. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) requires drillers and pump installers to meet experience requirements, pass examinations, maintain continuing education, and carry appropriate insurance. Every well we drill is permitted through the applicable Groundwater Conservation District, completed to TDLR construction standards, and reported to the Texas Water Development Board.
