Same-Day Pump Service

A well pump failure isn't a wait-until-next-week problem. Most households are out of water within hours of a pump failure. We carry common submersible pump sizes, motors, pressure tanks, pressure switches, and control components on our service trucks — so most jobs can be diagnosed and completed in a single visit.

We service all well types and depths, from shallow jet pump systems to deep submersible installations at 500+ feet. Every pump installation is documented — model, depth, and date — so you have a complete service record for the property.

What We Service

Submersible pump replacement

Pull, size, and install — all depths and horsepower ratings.

Pressure tank replacement

Bladder failure, waterlogged tanks, undersized tanks — same-day parts.

Pressure switch

Failed contacts, miscalibrated cut-in/cut-out — quick fix, big impact.

Control box & capacitor

Burnt components diagnosed on-site with electrical testing equipment.

Drop pipe & cable

Deteriorated polyethylene pipe or submersible wire replaced during pump jobs.

Jet pump service

Shallow well jet pump diagnosis, repair, and replacement.

How a Pump Service Call Works

  1. 1

    Diagnosis

We check the breaker, pressure switch, control box, and pump amperage draw to isolate whether the problem is electrical or mechanical — before we pull anything.

  2. 2

    Pull the pump

For submersible pump failures, we pull the pump, drop pipe, and cable. Service trucks carry hydraulic pulling equipment for wells up to 500+ ft.

  3. 3

    Inspect and size

We inspect the pulled pump and size the replacement to your well depth, yield, and household demand. Right-sizing prevents future short-cycling and overworking.

  4. 4

    Install and test

New pump, cable, and drop pipe are installed. We pressure-test, confirm flow rate, and verify the control box and pressure switch settings before we leave.

  5. 5

    Documentation

You receive a written record of the pump model, depth, and installation date — important for future service calls and real estate transactions.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my well pump has failed?
The most common signs: no water at all (pump has seized or lost power), rapid pressure cycling every few seconds (pressure tank bladder failed and is overworking the pump), sputtering or air in the water lines, sudden spike in your electric bill, grinding or humming from the control box, or sandy water (pump is pulling sediment). Check the breaker and pressure switch first — many no-water calls are resolved without a service visit.
How long does pump repair or replacement take?
A pressure switch or capacitor replacement takes 1–2 hours. Replacing a submersible pump — which requires pulling the drop pipe and motor from the well — takes 3–6 hours for most residential jobs, depending on well depth and pump size. We carry common pump sizes and control components on the truck so we can complete most jobs in a single visit.
How much does well pump repair cost in North Texas?
Minor repairs (pressure switch, capacitor, pressure tank) run $150–$700 installed. A full submersible pump replacement runs $1,200–$4,500 depending on well depth and pump size. Wells under 200 ft are toward the lower end; deep wells (400+ ft) requiring a 1 hp or larger pump are toward the higher end.
Should I repair or replace my pump?
If the pump is under 8–10 years old and only a minor component has failed, repair makes sense. If the motor or pump impeller has failed and the pump is 12+ years old — or if it has been short-cycling due to a failed pressure tank — replacement is usually the more economical call. The labor cost of pulling and reinstalling a pump is the same whether you replace a component or the whole pump, which changes the math on repairs.
Do you service all pump brands?
We service and replace submersible pumps from all major manufacturers including Franklin Electric, Grundfos, Goulds, Pentek, and Myers. We stock Franklin Electric motors and common submersible pump assemblies in our vehicles for rapid-response jobs.
What is the pressure tank and how do I know if mine has failed?
The pressure tank holds a reserve of pressurized water using an internal bladder, which eliminates constant pump cycling. When the bladder fails, the tank becomes waterlogged — water fills the entire tank and the pump short-cycles every few seconds. Tap the side of the tank: a healthy tank sounds hollow in the upper half; a failed one sounds solid all the way up. Pressure tank replacement runs $300–$700 installed and often prevents pump burnout.
